The government's new baby bonus got
underway Monday with pensions and social security agency INPS
issuing instructions for accessing the 1,000 euro bonus for each
child born or adopted in 2025.
Italian citizens, citizens of EU member states, as well as
non-EU citizens with a long-term residence permit and other
specific permits can request the bonus.
It is necessary to present an ISEE icome means test for minors
not exceeding 40,000 euros per year.
The bonus does not contribute to the formation of taxable income
and will be financed with 330 million euros for 2025, increasing
to 360 million euros per year from 2026.
INPS will monitor the use of resources, communicating the
results to the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Economy
and Finance on a monthly basis.
