King Charles III said in the
first-ever speech by a British monarch to a joint session of the
Italian parliament Wednesday that he would work to boost the
friendship between Britain and Italy.
"I am here with the aim of reaffirming the deep friendship
between the United Kingdom and Italy and to commit myself to do
everything I can to strengthen it in the time that will be
granted to me as king", he said in his speech to the Chambers
assembled in the Chamber of Montecitorio.
