Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio's LMDV
Hospitality group has bought the historic Twiga luxury beach
club from Flavio Briatore, LMDV said Monday.
The five clubs in Forte Dei Marmi, London, Montecarlo,
Ventimiglia and Doha will merge with the restaurants already
controlled by LMDV Hospitality, which will manage the entire
hospitality business.
A "new Triga will open in September in Milan", LMDV also
announced on Monday.
LMDV Capital and LMDV Hospitality President Leonardo Maria is
the son of the late Luxottica eyewear king and sometime richest
Italian Leonardo Del Vecchio, who died in June 2022 aged 87.
"This project is not only an investment, like Twiga is not just
a brand but a commitment to promote and redefine hospitality in
Italy and abroad", said Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio.
The CEO of LMDV Capital and sole administrator of LMDV
Hospitality Marco Talarico said the new Twiga would combine
"restaurants, entertainment and lifestyle to create iconic
destinations dictating trends and attracting an international
public".
Twiga, a historic brand of the Majestas group, was launched in
2001 in the chic Versilia Tuscan playground for the rich and
then grew and established itself internationally as an icon of
luxury hospitality.
