A riot has been underway since
Tuesday morning inside the Piacenza prison, sources said
Tuesday.
At the moment there are few details, but it seems that the
penitentiary police officers are currently dealing with
disturbances in a wing of the Novate penitentiary, intervening
in riot gear.
It also seems that reinforcements are arriving from other
cities.
At the moment it is not yet known if there are any injuries.
In the morning 118 emergency teams and firefighters also
intervened for a small fire, but their intervention was
subsequently no longer necessary.
