A husband and wife in their sixties
were found dead in their home near Pavia Tuesday and police
suspect a probable murder-suicide in the case.
They said "it is most likely a murder-suicide that was
discovered this afternoon" in a house in Vicolo Castellazzo in
Confienza, a small town in the province of Pavia on the border
between Lomellina and Novara.
The bodies of a man and a woman, a husband and wife aged 68 and
66, were found here. The Carabinieri of the Vigevano company are
working on site for scientific investigations.
From initial indications, it seems that the man killed his wife
in the kitchen with a knife, after which he allegedly went to an
external cabin, an outbuilding of the house, to take his own
life with a hunting rifle that was found next to the body.
