Premier Giorgia Meloni on Monday sent
her condolences for an attack in Mannheim where a suspected
far-right militant drove his car into a Carnival crowd killing
two people and seriously injuring five others.
"I express my condolences for what happened in Mannheim," she
said in a statement.
"Our closeness to those affected and their loved ones, best
wishes to the injured and full solidarity with Germany as a
whole.
"Attempts to destabilize democratic nations will not prevail and
it is our commitment to keep our guard up against any form of
violence".
