Premier Giorgia Meloni said after a
London summit on Ukraine Sunday that she was sorry about
Friday's White House spat between United States President Donald
Trump and Ukrainian counterpart Voldymyr Zelensky but that
giving in to "fandom" for one or the other was not useful at
this stage.
"I am very sorry for what happened, it is not useful at this
stage to give in to fandom" but to look "at the common goal",
Meloni told the press at the residence of the Italian ambassador
in London at the end of the 16-nation summit on Ukraine and
European defence and security.
She said we need to look "at foreign policy with more depth
perhaps".
